Our team for Summer School 2017 has now been assembled, but if you're aged 13-21 and fancy getting involved next year, we want to hear from you!

In two intensive weeks we create and present a professional-standard production for a public audience.

“Spinning Wheel’s Summer School has been one of the most challenging, exciting and magical experiences!”

We tend to hold workshop auditions in the Spring so you have plenty of time to plan your Summer. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance, but be ready to read scenes with others, do some improvisation and devising. No experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and a desire to get stuck in!

We look for creative and hard-working people with an interest in any aspect of technical theatre; from lighting and prop-making, to costume and sound. So if you’re into Art, Design Technology, Textiles, Music or even Physics, this project will allow you to combine your passion with your creative problem-solving skills! You will need to attend one of the audition dates, where you will take part in some simple practical tasks.

“What an absolute pleasure these past two weeks have been. I'm feeling a lot of love for the wonderful Spinning Wheel Theatre. Here’s to the next one!”

“We could hardly believe that you had just had two weeks rehearsals. There was so much excellent detail, choreography, interaction between the cast, and they were obviously enjoying it.”

Our upcoming Summer School production of Wendy and Peter Pan is now cast and the technical team assembled, but if you're interested in taking part in future Summer School productions, email amy@spinningwheeltheatre.com to register your interest, or sign up to our newsletter at the bottom of the page to be kept informed of any future opportunities.
